PSW Training

This course has been approved by Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training, and Labour (PETL) and has met the requirements for the Foundational Personal Support Worker Certification.

Personal Support & Home Care workers play an essential role in our healthcare system. They provide compassionate, personalized care to individuals and familieswith defined healthcare needs. They will assist with functions of daily living, help their clients lead a healthier lifestyle, and promote a greater quality of life.

The Parker's Personal Support Worker Training Program is an intensive course consisting of a total of 15 weeks, 20 hours per week. Total of 300 Training hours. The course will be instructor-led in person classes, Skills practice lab, as well as, Practicum experience.

Meet Our Instructors

Wayne Herbert, PN - Wayne has been involved in Health Care for over 40 years. He comes with 20 plus years of experience in teaching LPN and PSW at College level. He has completed his Instructor Development Diploma from NBCC and UNB. He also has Nursing Experience in Hospital, Long Term Care, and Home Care. His level of professionalism and work ethic is second to none and his teaching style resonates with all styles of learning.

Debbie Churchill, LPN - Debbie has been involved in Health Care for over 44 years. She comes with experience in many fields of nursing, hospital staff nurse in varied units, management levels; unit Coordinator, Director of Care, and worked cross-culturally with medical teams in Latin America. She has program development experience and worked as an instructor at NBCC for the LPN and PSW programs. She also completed Instructor Development Diploma from NBCC and UNB. She has returned from retirement to develop this program and teach.
